Wonderful music - tease performance!
The wonderful performance of Mon Laferte and His Johann Strauss Orchestra was outstanding, but the ending numbers of his program were a big tease. He would play a "final" number, bid good night, and exit the stage, only to return after a long applause to resume his "scheduled" program. This sequence repeated multiple times until they finally played "Brahms Lullaby" - his traditional closing piece.
The practice of leaving the stage and returning to the thunderous applause is common among all performers, but typically they return once, perform several pieces, and then conclude the evening without teasing the audience.
The audience was left wondering why the teasing, simply wanting to receive the full performance they paid for without the unnecessary interruptions.
